Avery's First Day of Preschool
Where did our baby go? Little Avery is now in "Red Room" at the Little Blossom Montessori, which is the Preschool Room. This is the room that Sydney started in exactly one year ago, today. Avery has matured so much in the last couple of months and is doing pretty well with her potty training!

Little Swimmers
The Girls wrapped up their swim lessons last week. Each participated in two sessions this summer. Avery started off with a Parent/Tot class - which was a lot of fun! It was great to get into the water with her and see how excited she'd get, kicking her little legs, and reaching for toys. She loved doing "jumps" too. She then graduated to the Level 1-2 class where she was introduced to front float and back float. She also used the kickboard to practice kicks, did bobs (dunks), and jumps.
Sydney started in Level 1-2 (even though she graduated from this class last Summer) and wrapped up with Level 3, which includes front and back streamline kick. She has gained an ENORMOUS amount of confidence in the water and can swim to us to or to the side of the pool, underwater, for about 10 feet.
It has been so much fun to spend time at our clubhouse this summer. We've had some pretty hot days (109?) and the pool has provided us with well-deserved relief.
